Disassembly / Installation Procedure
1)
Shown here the front shock removed and the brackets being installed.
You will notice the sleeve that replaces the shock in the stock mount.
Install one of the links on one of the 10x55mm bolts, hold the spacer
in place and insert the bolt. You will see the top bolt inserted
through the link on the left. Place a 10mm flat washer on the top bolt
and then install the other link.
2)
Here you will see the passenger side bracket being installed the driver
side installs the same way. Insert the curved arm onto the bolt and set
the bracket on the control arm. Position the bracket so that the holes
all line up, then install the u-bolts.
3)
Below is the completed shot. The steps for each side of the front are
the same. Repeat the procedures on the opposite side.
Rear Disassembly / Installation Procedure
4)
Shown are the two factory bolts replaced with the longer bolts
furnished. These need to be replaced first. Use two of the 10mm flange
nuts furnished to attach these bolts.
5)
Next install the rear shock brackets. Pay attention to the way the
parts are installed. Install the washer as shown, between the link and
the shock.
6)
Install the rear shock brace as shown. This bracket will slip on the
longer bolts you earlier installed, using the other two 10mm flange
nuts. Once all the nuts are installed tighten them and proceed to the
other side. Once finished the job is complete.
A good “Anti-Seize” compound should be applied to the lug studs and the tire/wheel
combination of choice installed. Remove all jacks, jack stands and other devices used
to lift and hold the bike. Check all brackets and bolts to be sure everything is tight.
